Today’s prompt for Inktober is “tranquil.” Perhaps a better caption for this sketch would be “grace” or “poise” or “courage” but #ieshiaevans is the person I thought of first. Maybe because I have been wanting to draw this scene for such a long time: the two robocop men in alien invasion gear, with full backup in the background, and the lone woman in the light summer dress.
What makes this image so powerful to me is the contrast between the unbalanced but almost dancing pose of the full- gear policemen and the fully grounded stance of Evans. Who is afraid of whom?
